Traditional Uses: Eyebright is a versatile herb known for its effectiveness in treating various eye infections, disorders, and irritations, even when taken internally. It is helpful for allergic rhinitis, postnasal drip, middle ear infections, catarrh, and sinusitis. Eyebright is regarded as an effective remedy for hay fever, alleviating symptoms such as itchy, weeping eyes, watery secretions, and sinus headaches. It may also increase resistance to colds and flu and help soothe sore throats. Additionally, eyebright is beneficial in treating over-sensitive eyes, conjunctivitis, and blepharitis.

Directions for Use:

• Infusion: Add 1 teaspoon of eyebright to 1 cup of boiling water. Let it stand for 5-10 minutes. Strain and drink three times per day.
• Compress: Boil 1 teaspoon of eyebright in 1 cup of water for 10 minutes. Strain and let it cool slightly. Dampen cotton wool with the liquid and place it on the eyes for 15 minutes. Repeat several times a day.
